Workforce Development Scholarships

An educated workforce is vital to the success of businesses and the economy in Centre County. The CBICC's annual "Open for Business Golf Tournament" supports Chamber's Workforce Development Scholarships for students in the county's five school districts. Each year, the CBICC awards a Workforce Development Scholarship to a high school student in each district who is receiving technical education or training and plans to pursue a career in a technical field in Centre County upon completing his or her education.

In 2010, the CBICC/CCIDC was pleased to present Workforce Development Scholarships to the following deserving students:

Bald Eagle Area School District - Caleb Miller
Bellefonte Area School District - David Grafmyre
Philipsburg-Osceola Area School District - Adam Gallaher II
Penns Valley Area School District - Matthew Auman
State College Area School District - Ethan Griffin
