What is the cbicc?

The Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County is a membership organization comprising business of all sizes and from a variety of industry sectors, as well as nonprofit agencies and academic institutions. The CBICC is the champion of economic development and business growth in Centre County, and with nearly 700 members, the largest organization representing businesses throughout central Pennsylvania.
The Centre County Industrial Development Corporation, CBICC's legal entity for economic development and business financing in Centre County, receives and administers grant and loan funding from various federal and state agencies in order to support economic development activity in the region. The CCIDC also coordinates management of the state-designated I-99 Corridor Keystone Innovation Zone, which includes Centre, Blair and Bedford counties.
Under the banner of the Centre County Economic Development Partnership, the CBICC works collectively and collaboratively with public and private sector investors on fostering entrepreneurship and strengthening the local economy.

The CBICC is organized to promote the well-being and growth of commerce, business and industry, while striving to make Centre County and its environs a great place to live, work and conduct business. As a leading advocate for the county's business community, the CBICC is instrumental in shaping policy and working collaboratively with local, county and state partners to bolster private industry.

The CBICC seeks to be a bridge builder between individuals, companies, organizations and
Centre County's governing officials. The CBICC's work is focused on enabling Centre County to grow in a cohesive fashion. The Chamber's role is to unify the voice of its diverse membership.
