Attend events and get networking
Ribbon Cuttings
The CBICC holds ribbon cuttings to celebrate member milestones, such as new openings, anniversaries, and more. CBICC members are welcome to attend.
CBICC Business After Hours
CBICC members host Business After Hours networking events throughout the year. They are a great way to connect with other business professionals and with Centre County. The events are typically held once a month, on Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. CBICC members attend these events at a discounted rate.
Breakfast Meetings/Luncheons/Seminars
Throughout the year, a variety of educational and networking events are available for all employees of a member business to enjoy. Topics span the economic spectrum and also focus on professional/personal development. Members are encouraged to host an event, suggest a topic or volunteer to speak. It's a great way to learn more about what others in your community are accomplishing. CBICC members attend these events at a discounted rate.
'STATE OF' Events
A variety of educational 'state of' events are held throughout the year. The events are typically held as a luncheon, and feature a wide-range of topics, such as government, education and healthcare. You'll gain valuable insight from our county leaders while building relationships with your fellow CBICC members. CBICC members attend these events at a discounted rate.
'Driving Centre County's Economy' Annual Golf Tournament
Held each July, this event offers business and community leaders a relaxing afternoon of networking on Toftrees Golf Resorts' beautiful tree-lined course. Following the tournament, a Business After Hours event is held to celebrate winning teams, distribute prizes, announce silent-auction winners, connect with other team players, and to savor a catered dinner. CBICC members attend at a discounted rate.
Excellence Awards Dinner
The CBICC's annual Excellence Awards Dinner recognizes the best of Centre County's business community. The Business Leader of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year and Young Professional of the Year are among those honored. The CBICC also honors the CBICC Champion and Centre County Economic Development Partnership Economic Development Champion. CBICC members are asked to nominate their fellow CBICC members for awards. Nominees are narrowed down to finalists by an awards committee and then voted on to determine each winner. The Excellence Awards Dinner is typically held in December, with nominations beginning in September. CBICC members attend at a discounted rate.
