Keller Engineers announces staff promotions

Keller Engineers is proud to announce the promotion of Keller Engineers’ Associates David M. Cunningham, PE and Brian E. Wiser, PE to Vice President.

David M. Cunningham, PE began his career at Keller Engineers in 1997 as a high school intern; he is now in his 26th year with the firm. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State University in 2002, and is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and West Virginia. As the Assistant Director of the Water/Wastewater Division, Dave serves as a project manager for water and wastewater projects and is the primary client services contact for several municipalities and authorities. He is also the liaison to the firm’s Gettysburg team.

Brian E. Wiser, PE has been with Keller Engineers for 27 years; he began his career with Keller in 1995 as a summer intern. In 1996 he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and serves as the firm’s Assistant Director of Transportation. Brian specializes in transportation structural engineering and related services. He is a project manager for state, county, local, and private clients and serves as the primary client services contact for several municipal and county governments.

Five team leaders have also been promoted to the level of Associate.

Kimberly A. Carr, CBSI, a Certified Bridge Safety Inspector, has been with Keller Engineers for 24 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State University in 1987. As the firm’s Chief Bridge Inspector, Kim is responsible for managing the bridge inspection program, teams, inspections, and preparing inspection reports. Additionally, Kim informs bridge owners and PennDOT of critical and high priority maintenance issues, and coordinates load rating changes with the bridge owner, chief bridge engineer, and PennDOT.

Randy P. Grove, PE serves as Chief Highway Engineer and is responsible for leading the highway program and team. He assists in securing state, county, municipal, and private projects and serves as project manager. He also helps clients secure project funding and ensures compliance through project delivery and closeout. Randy, who joined Keller Engineers in 2009, is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a 1998 graduate of Penn State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

Adam J. Long, RLA serves as Keller Engineers’ Landscape Architect and is responsible for various aspects of land development design services and production of plan drawings and reports. His primary areas of expertise include residential and commercial developments, recreation projects, athletic facilities, and educational facilities. Adam is a registered licensed Landscape Architect in Pennsylvania and Maryland and is Certified by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards. He earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Degree from Penn State University in 1999 and has been with Keller Engineers for 18 years.

Shawn S. Ritchey, PE joined Keller Engineers in 2008. Graduating from Penn State University, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural Design and Construction Engineering in 1985, and an Associate of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology in 1983. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. As Keller Engineers’ Chief Transportation Construction Engineer, Shawn is responsible for oversight of the firm’s transportation construction inspectors and oversees project construction for state and municipal clients.

Craig M. Starr, PE is the firm’s Chief Bridge Engineer for transportation projects. As such he is responsible for all aspects of bridge design and rating, design supervision, and team leadership. He is experienced in the design of bridge structures for state, county, municipal, and private entities. Craig, a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland joined Keller Engineers in 2014. He earned a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State University in 2003, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State University in 2001.
