State College, PA - In celebration of new ownership and a grant re-opening, Amelia Seely, General Manager of Duck Donuts (125 S. Fraser St, State College), cut the ribbon while surrounded by four of the six new owners: John & Sherry Forney and Barb & Greg White.
“We’re looking forward to integrating ourselves with the local community and giving everyone a taste of what makes us unique: our warm, delicious, and made-to-order donuts,” said Greg White, Duck Donuts State College co-franchise owner. “At Duck Donuts, guests can create their own donut combination by choosing from a variety of coatings, toppings, and drizzles, including traditional favorites such as chocolate icing with sprinkles and more adventurous creations such as maple icing with bacon.”
The new management and ownership teams are celebrating all week long with community events like:
“We are excited to celebrate our grand re-opening and sprinkle happiness throughout the State College community,” said Scott Rhodes, Duck Donuts State College co-franchise owner. “We have a great lineup of events throughout the weekend, starting with a ribbon cutting with our partners at Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County.”
September also kicks off the franchise-wide Gabe’s Chemo Duck Program Campaign. Throughout month, Duck Donuts’ guests can help provide huggable hope to families that are fighting childhood cancer by simply donating a dollar. Funds raised at the State College shop will directly go toward providing children at Geisinger Medical Center with a Gabe’s Chemo Duck Program.
The program is used as a medical play therapy tool to alleviate fear and anxiety in children undergoing cancer treatment. As an added thank you, donors will also receive a coupon for a free donut during their next visit. Since participating in the program, the State College location has raised $2,300, donating more than 50 Chemo Duck Programs to Geisinger.
Beyond the month of September, there are many treats to enjoy at Duck Donuts.
“In addition to our delicious donuts, we offer a variety of products and services including coffee, espresso beverages, milkshakes, donut sundaes, breakfast sandwiches, catering services, and more, including our Quack Gives Back Program,” said John Forney, Duck Donuts State College co-owner. “For those on the go, guests may order ahead for pick-up or delivery online or through the Duck Donuts Rewards app. We provide ourselves on providing a delicious and convenient experience.”
