Meet the CBICC Team
Greg Scott
President & CEO greg@cbicc.org Greg Scott serves as the President and CEO of the CBICC. In this role, his primary responsibility is to provide effective leadership to the organization and its members in carrying out the chamber's mission, directing internal operations and developing external relationships beneficial to business and community advancement. He oversees the CBICC's economic-development activity under the banner of the Centre County Industrial Development Corporation/Centre County Economic Development Partnership. Prior to joining the CBICC, Greg led various business operations during a 25-year career in higher education. He held leadership roles at three major research institutions, including Rutgers University, Penn State University, and most recently at the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as the Senior Vice Chancellor of Business Operations. Greg is a U.S. Navy veteran who served as an Officer in the Civil Engineer Corps. During his tenure, he was the assistant resident officer in charge of construction in Twentynine Palms, California, and the assistant public works officer in Indian Head, Maryland. He is also a registered professional engineer in the state of California. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State, an MBA from National University, and a Penn State Executive Management Program certificate. Greg is a Centre County native and a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He and his wife, Erica, reside in State College. |
Donna J. Newburg
Executive Assistant to the President & CEO dnewburg@cbicc.org Donna Newburg is the Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. She provides executive, administrative and development support. Her responsibilities include serving as the liaison to the board of directors and leadership team, coordinating executive outreach and external relations, and overseeing special projects. Donna had a 40-year career at Penn State, where she worked in the Finance & Business Office, the Applied Research Laboratory and the College of Engineering. She played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the Finance & Business strategic plan and was a member of the leadership team. In addition, she served as the assistant secretary of the Board of Trustees, the Corporation for Penn State and the Research Park Management Corporation. Donna also has extensive experience in small-business management, finance, marketing, and event planning. Donna graduated from the Wilma Boyd Career School in Pittsburgh and completed the Office Professional Certification at Penn State. She is also a graduate of Leadership Centre County (class of 2012). Donna has been involved in volunteer work for various charities in Centre County and served as the coordinator of the Olympic Village at the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania alongside her husband, Steve. She and Steve have two adult daughters, Stacy and Kelly. She enjoys watching college football, golfing, kayaking, walking for exercise, and driving her little sports car. |
Felicia Hetzman
Vice President of Marketing and Communications felicia@cbicc.org Felicia Hetzman is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. She oversees communications, media relations and the marketing resources of the Chamber. Felicia is a veteran journalist with more than 30 years of experience in the television and online news industries, where she served as an advocate for people and public policy, while also creating compelling broadcast and digital content and messaging to promote customers and brands. She is a Centre County native with ties to the Johnstown-Altoona-State College television market, where she was an anchor and reporter for WTAJ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Altoona. She also served as an executive producer for WPBF-TV, the ABC affiliate in West Palm Beach, Florida, and as an anchor and reporter for the cable news network, Florida’s News Channel. Felicia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Florida State University. She resides in State College with her husband Brian and their daughter, Bree. |
Jeannine Lozier Vice President of Membership Engagement jeannine@cbicc.org Jeannine Lozier is the Vice President of Membership Engagement. Her responsibilities include managing the Chamber's annual new-member recruitment, engaging and retaining members, and improving the overall experience for members. She is a dedicated and seasoned engagement professional with a track record of advocating for the community and building relationships within government, nonprofit organizations and the private sector. Jeannine is a native of Centre County and a familiar face to many through her involvement in several community organizations and charitable work. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, and reading when she is not volunteering. Jeannine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Messiah University and a Master of Science degree in Strategic Leadership from Elizabethtown College. |
Tom Penkala
Programs & Events Coordinator tpenkala@cbicc.org Tom Penkala is the Programs & Events Coordinator for the Chamber. Tom plays a pivotal role in coordinating and administering Chamber programs and events, including our signature events, such as our golf outing and annual celebration. He also assists in the planning and production of the Voice of Business Luncheon series. Tom is a seasoned event planner and meeting coordinator, having spent 30 years working in Housing and Food Services, Donor Relations and Special Events for Penn State. Most recently, he served as an Associate Director for the Board of Trustees in the Office of the President. A longtime Centre County resident, Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Food Service and Hotel Administration from Penn State University. He resides in State College with his wife, Kate. |
