Greg Scott is the President and CEO of the Chamber

In this role, Greg’s primary responsibility is to provide effective leadership to the organization and its members in carrying out the Chamber’s mission, directing internal operations and developing external relationships beneficial to business and community advancement.

He oversees the Chamber’s economic-development activity under the banner of the Centre County Industrial Development Corporation/Centre County Economic Development Partnership.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Greg led various business operations during a 25-year career in higher education. He held leadership roles at three major research institutions, including Rutgers University, Penn State University, and most recently at the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as the Senior Vice Chancellor of Business Operations.

Greg is a U.S. Navy veteran who served as an officer in the Civil Engineer Corps. During his tenure, he was the assistant resident officer in charge of construction in Twentynine Palms, California, and the assistant public works officer in Indian Head, Maryland. He is also a registered professional engineer in the state of California.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State, an MBA from National University, and a Penn State Executive Management Program certificate.

Greg is a Centre County native and a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He and his wife, Erica, reside in State College.
